Marcos Villaseñor (Mexico City, 1979) studied in Mexico, Italy and the US.

After completing his first feature, "I migliori sentimenti" (The Best of Feelings) in Italy, he moved to Mexico, where he directed a number of advertisements and developed films and TV series for Contenido Neto. He also taught at the Universidad Iberoamericana and the CUEC.

His work, encompassing all forms of the moving image (from fiction and documentary to new media and video art), has been shown in exhibitions and festivals in Europe, Mexico and the U.S. His screenplay "Soldados de Guadalupe" won the Alejandro Galindo Workshop in 2009, organized by IMCINE and the Mexican Society of Directors, of which he is also a member. Recently, his short screenplay "@FlorianHarazkaiewicks" was awarded best short at the Creative World Awards.

He is currently developing his next feature film in between commercial and short film projects, splitting his time between Mexico City and London, and is also a member of Directors UK.
